What's Up:
Fly-fishing, Bicycling (road and mountain), four wheeling, going to the local folk concerts, traveling when I can, and family.  (not necessarily in that order).  Mostly outdoor activities.  Woodworking... I make most all of my own furniture and for family.  Cooking... love hot and spicy food.  Watching the sunrise & set on the Grand Mesa.  Two years ago went on a cruise to Alaska (fantastic).  Have traveled to New Zealand three times, Korea, China, and South America.  England once, during the winter (not recommended).  Love Colorado the best.

My Occupation:

Graduated from School of Mines (Mining engineer).  Worked in Arizona; then 11 years for AMAX at the Henderson Mine near Berthoud Pass; then in exploration around the world.  Laid off in '82 and got into computer programming for 9 mos.  Then back to work design the underground portion of nuclear waste facilities.  That took me from Houston to Las Vegas, where I spent the last 17 years on a one year job.  Got heavily involved in US Green Building Council, and became a LEED Accredited Professional (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design).  Finally got entirely fed up riding the gravy train and soaking up government money, so I quit my job, moved to Colorado, and began raising Alpacas.  Have a 180 ranch now, and loving life.  Still dabble at consulting on sustainable design, and nuclear projects with the School of Mines.  Back to being a Farmer!!

My Family:
Got married in 1969 to a Lakewood High School girl (Debbie), had three boys and one adopted girl.  Brett (35, married 3 kids) works police dept. at School of Mines and insurance, Teig (34, married 1 boy) living in Parker and working investments and insurance.  Lisa (33, single), living in San Diego.  Ryan (31, single, but close to hitching) living in Madrid and unemployed.

Divorced in 1994, remarried to Lucinda in 1996.  We met on bicycles when she passed me at high speed on the highway outside of Las Vegas, and I said to myself, "Hmmm... cute butt," so I kept up, and the rest is history.  Lovely lady and the love of my life.  Super in-laws living in Bangor, Maine.  She is executive vice president for Shea Commercial Realty in Las Vegas, and is looking to expand to Denver area.

Favorite Memories:
The silent cheer at football games.  Beat tags and supporting the troops.  Signing Al Sol's name till my pen ran out of ink.  Being one, buying and selling slaves in Latin class... "Ave Domini!!"  All the really pretty girls that I was too shy to approach, but were more approachable than I realized.  We had (and have) the best.  Farmers barns, skiing, getting told by counselors that they refused to send my transcript to School of Mines because I shouldn't waste my time on a school that I couldn't begin to survive.  (Big razzberry sound!!) Most of all, the people who cared enough to stay in touch.  Thanks.
