What's Up:
My wife of 31 years, Susan, and I live in Steamboat Springs Colorado in the winter and on our ranch in North Park in the Summer. We enjoy the out-of-doors, both at our ranch and with several trips each year, primarily to the desert country of the South West. Susan is very active in the Routt County Foundation for Senior Citizens (President) and I spend most of my time pursuing my hobbies of photography and writing. My Occupation:
I started out my working life as a banker at the First National Bank of Denver. Susan and I moved to Steamboat in 1977 where I worked at the Routt County National Bank in the Real Estate Department; Routt County turned into United, then NorWest, then Wells Fargo. I retired from banking in 1987 to branch out into several careers including: Bike Shop owner, Writer (3 books on mathematics), Educator, Real Estate Broker and Appraiser.
My Family:
Susan worked her whole career as a nurse. She graduated from C.U. Nursing School in 1972. She retired in 2002.
Susan and I have two children. Benjamin is 30 years old and just started a new job with Exponential Engineering. He will be working as a consultant for the electric utility industry. He just left Woodward Governor of Fort Collins where he worked 3 years as a controls engineer. He graduated from Mines with a Masters in Electrical Engineering. He will be married to Abby next July. Abby just graduated from C.U. nursing school.
Kelley (just married June 25th to Joe Schwab) works as a manager of Panzano Restaurant in the Hotel Monaco, Denver Colorado. She graduated from C.U. with a journalism degree. Her husband is in the financial consulting business
Favorite Memories:
Of course, the '63 road to the BB championship is #1. The Top School contest is up there too. I am very glad to see that Mr. Melbach is coming to the event as I feel he was the best teacher I had at WRHS.
