Anne Marie Glover

Anne Marie Glover, longtime Durango resident,
died early Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, in Durango of injuries
received in an automobile accident. She was 55.
Ms. Glover was born on Feb. 19, 1947, in
Manhattan, Kan., to Myrla Marcella Havice and Erwin Nicholows
Havice. She was raised in Wheat Ridge and graduated from Wheat
Ridge High School. She attended the University of Colorado in
Boulder and studied sociology.
She moved to Durango in 1974, and she lived
on her ranch in the Ignacio area for more than 20 years. She
worked in Durango as a municipal court administrator.
Ms. Glover loved climbing 14ers, riding a
dirt bike and dancing. She enjoyed travel, reading and playing
ping-pong with her grandson.
"Anne never said no to adventure," said her
daughter, Amy Barnes, of Durango. Barnes added, "She was a
fireball of quick wit."
Ms. Glover had a generous and compassionate
spirit. She helped many through her dedication to her family,
friends and community, Barnes said.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Danny Ralph Barnes.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Michelle
Barnes of Durango; her son, Eric Matthew Barnes of Durango; her
mother, Myrla Marcella Havice of Wheat Ridge; her brother, John
Erwin Havice of Corpus Cristi, Texas; a sister, Joyce Carolyn
Bradney of Aurora; and a grandson, Calebb Rainblood Rael of
Durango.
