What's Up
We began to build our home in the hills 30 years ago...still
working on parts of it. I enjoy being home, although I rarely get
to relax and enjoy the view. I stay involved in theater and dance
activities through the school where I teach. I have especially
enjoyed many years of being involved with DPS Shakespeare festival.
My husband and I are involved in many activities at our church,
also. Our grandchildren are a huge blessing and require several
trips a year for visits as they do not live close to us. I also
enjoy sewing period costumes for Disguises Costumes on my summer
breaks.
My Occupation:
Currently I teach first grade in northeast Denver. For many years
prior to this I taught dance both in Denver Public High Schools and
private dance studios. I am looking forward to retirement in
another year.
My Family:
I am married to John Hobbs and we have 4 adult children, 4
grandchildren, and 2 dogs (at this time).
Favorite Memories:
I moved to Wheatridge my senior year, so few memories of the year.
However, I am grateful for being allowed to participate in
gymnastics which led me to compete in college and eventually coach
in the high schools where I taught.
