Back | | What's Up: I am truly excited about the upcoming reunion. The 20th, 25th and 30th, were alot of work, and I thank the committee for putting together a great website that is simple and well organized. I just completed round two of a two-phase surgery. I just arrived home today and was very fortunate to only have to spend three days in recovery. The first surgery was 8 days before coming home, so this was a breeze. I probably won't be able to dance all the ladies around this room this time, but I'll be there.
I love to golf. I am a member a Lakewood Country Club, am a 6 handicap now, who knows after this last surgery, and try to play a least twice a week from April through October.
I am a 24 year member of Arvada Covenant Church which occupies a great deal of my spare time. I am also still pretty active in Young Life that I work closely with one of my best friends, Chuck Cooke, class of '62. It is a great organization that has impacted many high school and junior high school kids for more than 60 years.
My Occupation: I have been in engineering all my business career. I am the President and General Manager of BCER Engineering, a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering firm. I founded the company 11 years ago with three other guys who I worked closely with in the design and construction of DIA. We have been successful beyond anything I could have ever imagined and for that I am grateful. Bruce DeCook and I are partners in our office building located at 5420 Ward Road. It has been great having renewed the relationship with Bruce, basically at the '95 Reunion, where we both committed to staying in touch with each other.
My Family: I have a great family. My wife of 20 years, Eliese, is my soul mate and best friend. She has been the real encourager in my life. We have three children, Stephen, LeighAnn and Rebekah. They are all wonderful kids with great hearts are hard workers. Steve and LeighAnn have graduated and Rebekah is a sophomore at CU Denver. She went to UNC last year but it didn't sit well with her. My mother of almost 83 years lives with us as does my handicap brother, Roman. All in all we have a very interesting and never boring life.
Favorite Memories: State Championship 1963. Watching Dabney win the 100 in '65 at the county finals. I didn't think he could do it. Watching DeCook, Kehl and Swanson playing varsity and remembering when we all played pickup so many times together. Al Sol and slammin' all the other high schools for the band contest and then getting the Moonrakers and the Astronauts. That was cool!! Back | | | |
