Back | | What's Up:
I enjoy spending time with our seven grandchildren, five live within 5-miles of us here in Salina, Kansas. I have taught adult Christian Education since 1974 at the various churches where we have lived over the years; it is my most fulfilling activity. We live on 3-acres in the country and I thoroughly enjoy the "yard" work associated with country living. I still run, I mean jog, I mean trot for exercise 4-5 times a week. I enjoy listening to the KC Royals baseball in the evenings and have become a KC Chiefs fan (Broncos are 2nd). My wife and I love to travel.
My Occupation:
I love my work and approach it like a fun activity rather than a job. For the past 4-years I've been the Director of Marketing for a full-service Car Wash-Convenience Store company that is on a national expansion campaign. Went to College in Kansas, played football 1-1/2 years until a shoulder injury ended that foolishness. Spent 4-years as an Officer in the US Army, 26-months overseas in Germany and on the N.Korea border at Panmunjom. Have been a manager and/or business owner in manufacturing, agri-business, the petroleum industry and in radio.
My Family:
I married Georgie Sheldon (a cute Kansas farm girl) in 1968 while in college; we just passed year 37 together. Four children (Ann-35, Sheldon-32, Rebecca-30 and James-27), all happily married; seven incredible grandchildren.
Favorite Memories:
Sports, Farmers Barn, 6-years on the "Boys Ballet" in the annual talent(?) show.
