What's Up:
I have been living
in San Diego for 32 years. Never took up surfing but enjoy the great
weather and sunshine and being able to play tennis year around. I am
still working too much but wouldn't trade it for the world. Oh, all
right maybe if I won the lottery it might change my mind.My Occupation:
After college at
Colorado State, I worked for several years doing Biochemistry research,
(kind of a drag) but it paid the bills. I went to medical school in
Virginia at age 32 (takes me a long time to make decisions) and later
got subspecialty training in neuroradiology. I worked for about 10
years in private practice until managed health care made it impossible.
Four years ago I joined a nationally based group of subspecialty
radiologists. Now I work from home reading exams over the
internet--virtual medicine. So in essence I am a stay at home mom for
my two dogs--an English cocker and a Samoyed.
My Family:
I have been
married for 36 years to my high school sweetheart and 65 WRHS co
graduate, Bill Lewis.
We have been blessed to have had a great marriage. Bill has only tried
once to check out on me once when he got caught in an ocean rip current
on a deserted beach in Hawaii and sustained a near drowning in front of
both Bryce and me. He actually saved our lives (Bryce and I) by getting
a passing surfer (got to love them) to come to our rescue. I am not sure
Bill has been the same since, but we try to avoid deserted isolated
beaches.
We waited for 20 years after we married (had to be sure the marriage was
going to work out) before having children--child. Our son Bryce is a
joy, if one can speak so of a 15-year-old teenager, and he keeps our
lives interesting with his antics and athletic endeavors.
Favorite Memories:
Barn dances,
football/basketball games, Mr. Bolin's Biology class, and girlfriends
and meeting/dating Bill.
